Announces party ticket to Padmashali community leader from Sircilla segment to defeat KTR
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy sounds the poll bugle for the ensuing elections by firing salvos at the opposition Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for its corruption and feudal politics (ghadila palana)
Addressing a mammoth public meeting in Sircilla textile town on Wednesday night, the CM blew the poll bugle, signalling to his party workers to get ready for the ensuing election season and ostracise the ‘ghadila palana’ (feudal rule) of the BRS. Stating that BRS working president K Taraka Rama Rao was only daydreaming of attaining power, the CM predicted that KTR would be defeated miserably in Sircilla and the Congress would hoist its flag.
From 2009 to 2026, the elections were held six times in the Sircilla assembly segment, electing KTR as its legislator, but he failed to stop suicides by weavers and migration of labour in search of employment to Gulf nations, he stated and alleged that KTR had converted his victory from Sircilla only to enmasse huge wealth at the cost voters of Sircilla segment.
He said that a candidate from the Padmashali community would be allocated a Congress party ticket from the Sircilla assembly segment and would be given a berth in the state cabinet also. He asked whether the people of the Sircilla segment want a ‘Ghadis palana’ or Praja palana.
Flaying the BRS government for failing to fulfil the promise of making a Dalit the CM, distribution of three acres of land to each Dalit, employment to each household, double bedroom houses and more, he alleged that the BRS rule under the leadership of former CM K Chandrashekhar Rao had made huge money and constructed farm houses, five-star hotels and resorts.
He charged that former CM KCR had swindled crores of rupees in the name of utilisation of Godavari waters through the Kaleshwaram project; his son KTR and relatives J Ravinder Rao and J Santosh Rao made huge money by shifting the sand from the Manair river and reminded that the BRS government had thrashed Dalits, who opposed the shifting of sand black and blue during their regime.
He also wanted to know how J Ravinder Rao, J Santosh Rao and Sowmya Rao and others, who are land oustees of the Mid Manair Dam project and have white ration cards, could secure house sites in R&R colonies and earn crores of rupees. He wanted to know how the BRS could own a television channel and newspapers.
He said that if the BRS government attains power, KCR’s family would get more powers like KTR and Harish Rao attaining ministerial posts, Kavitha securing MLC post, Santosh Kumar securing Rajya Sabha MP post and defeated B Vinod Kumar would get Telangana state Planning Board Vice chairman.
If Congress is in power, tribal leader Seethakka would become a minister, Anil Kumar Yadav would become a Rajya Sabha MP, Gajwel Vijayalakshmi would become vice chairman of Telangana state Planning Board, and Vijayashanthi would become an MLC. In BRS, it is only family rule, and KCR’s son KTR will become its working president and his other family members would attain various posts.
Mr Revanth Reddy reminded that the Congress government was providing free RTC bus travel facilities to women, 200 units of free power, Rs 500 LPG cylinder subsidy, Indiramma houses, and more. He also stated that the Congress government was providing salaries to the employees on the first of every month and cleared long-pending retirement benefits to the employees.
