RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026: A two-day workshop titled “English Edge – Communicate. Express. Succeed”, organised by the Department of English at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Shatrajupalli Road, Vemulawada, concluded on Saturday.
The workshop was conducted as part of Satavahana University’s “Education Empowerment Programme – 100 Days Special Action Plan”, in collaboration with the Department of English, Satavahana University.
On the second day, Gannu Nataraja Shekhar, Head of the Department of Sciences and Humanities, Government Polytechnic College, Parkal, conducted a session on “JAM & Error Analysis.” He explained common errors in spoken and written English and provided practical guidance on improving language accuracy. He also introduced the students to JAM (Just A Minute) techniques to express their ideas clearly and effectively within one minute.
A session on “Interview & Employability Skills” was conducted by Dinakar Palakurthi, Associate Professor, Kakatiya Government Degree College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda. He highlighted the importance of facing interviews with confidence, using effective body language, and building essential employability skills for career development.
The resource persons encouraged the students, particularly those from rural backgrounds, to make effective use of such training programmes and strengthen their English language, communication and employability skills.
