KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 23, 2026: The valedictory session of the two-day workshop titled “Hands-on Experience in Analytical Methods,” organised by the Department of Chemistry at Satavahana University, was held at the B.R. Ambedkar Library Auditorium on Wednesday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Harikanth (OSD to the Vice-Chancellor) noted that the workshop provided an opportunity to learn many innovative concepts regarding experimental analytical methods. He observed that students gained significant knowledge by engaging in hands-on laboratory experiments as analyzing which foster a deeper interest in the subject and a passion for research. He emphasised the need to conduct more such workshops and for the chemistry department to become a central hub for diverse experimental activities.
During the two-day workshop, participants gained in-depth knowledge of topics including the analysis of density in drinking water, calcium concentration in milk, and organic separation processes etc.
Chemistry Department HoD and Professor Jeyanthi and V Namratha, as co-convenors, attended the valedictory session as the guest of honour, while M. Sarasija, the Board of Studies (BoS) Chairperson and workshop convener, presided over the event and distributed certificates to the students. University faculty members Raju, Vijayakumar, Madhu, Mallareddy, and Ganesh Babu also participated in the workshop.
TGSWRDC for women in Karimnagar
On the other hand, a delegation of 12 students from the Telangana Government Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, TGSWRDC (W) Karimnagar, actively participated in the prestigious Two-Day Workshop. The student delegation attended the workshop under the guidance and leadership of Radhika More, Head of the Department of Chemistry at TGSWRDC (W) Karimnagar.
The hands-on workshop, held under the Academic Empowerment Programme for Government Degree Colleges, provided the students with valuable practical exposure to advanced analytical instruments and techniques essential for contemporary chemical research and industrial applications. College Principal T. Malathi and Vice Principal S. Padmaja highly appreciated and congratulated the students and the Chemistry Department for utilising this opportunity to enhance their practical skills and academic excellence.
