WARANGAL, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026: Kakatiya University Vice Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy called upon everyone to protect the environment and develop greener, healthier campuses. He emphasised that planting saplings should be accompanied by their proper care.
The VC planted saplings as Chief Guest at a tree plantation programme organised at the University College of Education under the leadership of Principal Nallani Srinivas.
Prof. Pratap Reddy said environmental protection is a collective responsibility and urged students, faculty and staff to nurture every sapling planted.
Prof. B. Suresh Lal, Dean, Social Sciences and Executive Council Member, said efforts were being made to develop the college as a green, clean and eco-friendly campus. University officials, faculty, staff and B.Ed. and M.Ed. students participated in the programme.
Telangana Praja Palana Day Observed at KU
Kakatiya University observed Telangana Praja Palana Day on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy hoisted the National Flag at the Administrative Building premises and led the gathering in the National Anthem.
Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram, OSD Prof. B. Venkatram Reddy, Executive Council Members Prof. B. Suresh Lal, M. Sudarshan and Chirra Raju, Campus College Principals Prof. T. Manohar, Prof. S. Narasimha Chary and Nallani Srinivas, along with teaching and non-teaching staff, research scholars and students, participated in the programme.
University Arts & Science College Century Celebrations Logo Unveiled
The logo for the Century Celebrations of the University Arts & Science College, Kakatiya University, was unveiled by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy, informed College Principal Prof. S. Jyothi.
She said the logo will be prominently featured in the various academic, administrative, cultural and educational programmes to be organised throughout the year as part of the century celebrations. She expressed happiness that the college is celebrating its centenary during KU’s Golden Jubilee year and highlighted its distinguished alumni.
OSD Prof. B. Venkatram Reddy, Prof. B. Suresh Lal, Development Officer Prof. Y. Venkaiah and College Vice-Principal Rehman were present at the logo unveiling.
