Kalki Avataram in sand art welcomes devotees to colourful expo
Forest department of TTD recreates mighty Seshachala Ayur and sculptural expo
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: The incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu as Kalki on the divine horse carrier, holding a mighty sword of justice in one hand and a bridle in the other, designed in sand by the renowned Sand Artist Ms Gowri from Bengaluru, welcomes the devotees to the colourful and splendid expo organised by various departments of TTD at Kalyana Vedika.
The spacious Kalyana Vedika, located along Papavinasanam Road, draws tens of thousands of devotees during the Srivari Brahmotsavams by hosting a series of expos set by the Garden, PR, Forest, Ayur, SVITSA, and other wings of TTD every year.
This year, the Garden Department of TTD, led by Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, introduced unique mythological concepts, including Sri Sita Lakshmana Sameta Sri Rama on a Chariot, along with His noble disciple Sri Hanuman, right at the entrance of the Kalyana Vedika.

Several interesting episodes from four yugas, Krita, Treta, Dwapara and Kaliyuga, attract the devotees. The concepts include Samudra Madhanam, Indrajit Samharam by Lakshmana, Sasirekha – Ghatotkacha, Sisupala Vadha, Sannidhi Golla significance at Tirumala and more interesting episodes, besides the splendid dioramas with rare flowers, arches etc.
The Seshachala Forest, set up with rare flora and fauna by the Forest Wing of TTD, also captivates the devotees besides the wood, cement, and rock sculptures engraved by the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Training Institute of TTD.
The Photo gallery set up by the Public Relations Department of TTD is a special attraction with over 150 rare pictures. The cynosure is the clicks related to Tirumala, Alipiri footpath in the early 60s and 80s to present.
TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu, who inaugurated the expo on Tuesday along with the TTD EO Sri M Ravichandra, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna appreciated the concepts by each department.
