RAIPUR, (CHHATTISGARH), SEPTEMBER 12, 2026: The Raipur Regional Round of NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27 was held in Raipur on September 12, 2026. Organised for engineering and management students, the competition witnessed participation from around 110 teams, who showcased their knowledge and quizzing skills. This year, the theme of the competition is ‘Anything and Everything from the World of Business and Management’.
The final round of the Raipur Regional Round saw six top teams competing for the honours. The team of Abhishek Mishra and Varad Nagesh Jaurkar from IIM Raipur secured the first position and received a cash prize of Rs 60,000. The team of Pratik Ahir and Sushrut Agrawal from IIM Raipur secured the second position and received Rs 40,000. The team of Sahil Kumar and Rishabh Kumar Agrawal from SSIPMT Raipur secured the third position and received a cash prize of Rs 20,000.
The team of Aditi Joshi and Mubashshir Ahmed from IIIT Naya Raipur; Harsh Matlani and Divya Pratap Singh Sisodiya from NIT Raipur, and Ayush Kumar Sharma and Aynansh Shukla from NIT Raipur secured 4th, 5th and 6th positions, respectively and were awarded consolation prizes of Rs 8,000 per team.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager (HR), NTPC Nava Raipur Praveen Garg said that with the continuous growth in NTPC’s installed capacity and its strong presence in the country’s power sector, the Electron Quiz has also expanded every year. He said that just as NTPC powers the nation through energy, the Electron Quiz provides new energy to the knowledge and potential of young talents. He added that the competition provides an ideal platform for young participants to showcase their quizzing talent and is aligned with NTPC’s efforts to empower young talent while powering the nation.
The quiz competition began with an on-spot written round followed by audio-visual/buzzer round which was conducted by renowned quiz master Gautam Bose from Greycell. The top two teams from the regional round will now advance to the National Semi-Finals and Grand Finale to be held on 7th and 8th October 2026 at NTPC’s Power Management Institute (PMI), Noida. The event was graced by NTPC officials along with a large audience comprising students from various engineering and management institutions across the State.
