
RAMAGUNDAM, SEPTEMBER 12, 2026: With the growing demand for power in Telangana state, NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana have formally commenced the site levelling works for the ambitious Telangana state-II of 3×800 MWs (2400 MW) thermal power project in Ramagundam on Saturday.
The planned 2,400 MW thermal power expansion project is designed to help meet the growing electricity needs of the region. The BTG Package for Telangana Stage-II (3×800 MW) has been awarded to M/s BHEL.
Marking an important step towards the development of Telangana Stage-II, Site Levelling Pooja was conducted on Saturday to commence the Main Plant Site Levelling Works.

The pooja was performed in the esteemed presence of Shri C. K. Samanta, ED (R&T), along with senior NTPC and BHEL executives.
The commencement of site levelling works marks a significant milestone in the progress of Telangana Stage-II, further advancing NTPC’s commitment towards strengthening the power generation capacity of Telangana.
