MANCHERIAL, APRIL 27, 2024: The Ramagundam Commissionerate of Police have seized liquor worth over Rs 2 lakhs and an autorickshaw and arrested two persons at Bheemaram police stations of Mancherial zone on Saturday.
On credible information about the liquor being transported from Mancherial to Maharashtra state, the police have conducted the vehicle checking in Bheemaram police station limits. During the checking of Tata Ace autorickshaw, the police found eight cartons of Kingfisher beer bottles, four cartons of Knockout beer, nine cartons of Officers Choice whisky 90 ml bottles, one carton of Imperial Blue whisky full bottles, Officers Choice full bottle whisky one carton, Royal stag whisky quarter bottles one carton and Imperial Blue whisky quarter bottles.
A total of 25 cartons of liquor bottles worth over Rs 2 lakhs were seized and arrested Mohammed Shareef (40), auto trolley driver and Tippa Ramanaiah (32). The case was handed over to the Bheemaram police for further investigation.
