TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 02, 2026: ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Wednesday and offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. During his visit, Narayanan placed rocket models of GSLV-F17 and EOS-05 near the sacred feet of Lord Venkateswara and performed special pujas. The ISRO Chairman sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara for the success of the upcoming space missions.
After offering prayers, the ISRO Chairman received Veda Ashirvachanam from Vedic scholars at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. Temple officials felicitated him with the sacred temple cloth and presented Srivari Theertha Prasadam. The GSLV-F17/EOS-05 mission is scheduled for launch at 2:55 am on September 4 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. GSLV-17: GSLV-F17 – The 19th flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), carrying the EOS-05 Earth observation satellite. The launch is planned from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR. The GSLV-F17 will deploy EOS-05 into a Sub-Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (Sub-GTO). EOS-05 is India’s first-ever imaging satellite from Geosynchronous orbit.
