Mayor Kolagani Srinivas to inaugurate shobhayatra
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 02, 2026: Sri Sundara Satsang Trust in Karimnagar town has decided to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami at Sri Muralikrishna temple at Sainagar in Karimnagar town on Friday (September 4, 2026).
Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Trust President Bodla Krishna said that the special puja and other rituals would be conducted from 7.30 am to 12 midnight. The celebrations will begin with Gomatha puja at 7.30 on the temple premises and at 9.30 am Panchamrutha abhishekam and sarvadarshanam. Anna danam programme from 1 pm onward.
At 4.30 pm, there would be a shobhayatra with the devotees donning the dresses of Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopikas. The yatra would be inaugurated by Mayor Kolagani Srinivas. The bhajan programmes would be conducted from 9 pm to 12 midnight along with cultural programmes, cradle ceremony and ‘utti’ celebrations.
On this occasion, a total of 108 varieties of prasadams would be presented to Lord Srikrishna. The trust members appealed to attend in large numbers and make the programme a grand success. Trust general secretary E Surender Rao, treasurer R Vasantham, vice president G Narayan Reddy, joint secretary N Ramesh, EC members E Shankaraiah, Y Anjaiah, K Parameshwar, T Ravinder, R Udaya Lakshmi, K Anjali and E Kausalya and others were also present.
