TIRUMALA, AUGUST 28, 2026: Sravana Upakarma (change of new Yagnopaveetam-the sacred thread) was observed in Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple on Friday following the auspicious Sravana Pournami.
As part of this, the processional deity of Sri Krishna Swamy was brought in a celestial procession to the temple of Sri Bhuvarahaswamy and Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed by a team of Archakas.
After that, a new Yagnopaveetam was adorned to the deity, and Asthanam in the Temple was held.
Later, Sri Krishna Swamy returned to the Srivari temple in a procession.
Srivari Temple Dy EO Sri Lokanatham, priests and other staff participated in this program.
