HYDERABAD, AUGUST 28, 2026: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with warmth and patriotic spirit under the aegis of ‘My Gift’ at an Army campus. Peruka Raju, noted national poet, multilingual writer and founder of ‘My Gift’, tied rakhis to Indian Army jawans serving the nation and distributed sweets, conveying his heartfelt Raksha Bandhan greetings.
Raksha Bandhan, a cherished festival symbolising the bond between brothers and sisters, embodies love, protection and responsibility. By tying rakhis to the soldiers who safeguard the nation, the programme conveyed a meaningful message: “For the hands that protect the nation, the affection of its people is a bond of protection.”
Speaking on the occasion, Peruka Raju said that such celebrations strengthen the emotional bond between soldiers and citizens while fostering national spirit, brotherhood and unity. Festivals, he observed, are not merely traditions but cultural bridges that carry the values of love, harmony and patriotism from one generation to another.
Jagan, Perumal, Hira, Ganesh, Pandi, Aman and others participated in the programme. The tying of rakhis and distribution of sweets created a festive and joyful atmosphere on the Army campus, in Hyderabad, with all the participants expressing their happiness on the occasion.
