HYDERABAD, AUGUST 22, 2026: Close on the heels of TG SAFE (Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs)—headed by Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, ten teams from TG SAFE enforcement, consisting of Food Safety and Police, conducted surprise raids on 20 dark stores (Big Basket, Blinkit and Zepto) in the CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) region around Hyderabad on Saturday.
The surprise raids found multiple violations with regard to maintenance of hygiene, lapses in storage management, presence of expired Food articles. Notices have been issued to the stores found to be violating the Food Safety norms, and samples have also been lifted.
