LUCKNOW, AUGUST 21, 2026: As part of his visit to Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday evening. After attending several development programmes of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar went directly to the Chief Minister’s official residence in Lucknow and met CM Yogi Adityanath as a courtesy visit. Their meeting lasted for more than half an hour.
The main topics discussed were the BJP’s situation in Telangana and the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections. Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing full support for the development of Telangana and said that Telangana would benefit greatly if a double-engine government comes to power, and Uttar Pradesh is an example of this. He said that because the double-engine government continues in Uttar Pradesh, the state has been able to bring in large amounts of funds with the support of PM Modi and undertake major development works. He said that if a double-engine government is formed in Telangana too, it can help solve the major problems facing the state and improve the lives of the people.
CM Yogi Adityanath said there is a positive atmosphere for the BJP in Telangana. If all BJP leaders work together, he said, there is a strong possibility of the party coming to power. He also said that Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be held soon and expressed confidence that, under the leadership of PM Modi, the BJP will win Uttar Pradesh for the third consecutive time.
