In a significant move toward fostering academic excellence and research innovation, Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Nalgonda, hosted Prof. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Dean (Academic) at IIT Hyderabad, to discuss strategic collaborative initiatives between the two institutions.
The high-level meeting aimed at paving the way for joint student training programs, internships, faculty exchange. During the interaction with MGU officials and faculty members, Prof. Pandey highlighted the potential for jointly offering core courses that seamlessly integrate research expertise from both universities across multiple disciplines. Speaking on the occasion, MGU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Khaja Althaf Hussain disclosed that a select delegation of MGU faculty will visit the IIT Hyderabad campus during the first week of September to explore the possibilities of interactive workshops, laboratory tours, and exposure to advanced research projects.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Khaja Althaf Hussain expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that aligning MGU’s growth trajectory with the benchmark achievements of IIT Hyderabad—which has established itself as a top-tier institution in a short span—will inspire MGU students and faculty to reach new academic heights. The consultative meeting was attended by Deans of various faculties, Chairmen of Boards of Studies, and Heads of Departments from Mahatma Gandhi University.
