TIRUMALA, AUGUST 20, 2026: The 1053rd Avatara Mahotsavam of the renowned Vaishnavite Acharya Sri Tirumala Nambi was grandly celebrated on Thursday at the Sri Tirumala Nambi Temple, located on South Mada Street in Tirumala.
As part of the celebrations, Vedic scholars rendered Veda Parayanam, Prabandha Parayanam, Ramayanam and recitations from various epics and Puranas in a melodious manner.
Sri T.K. Seshadri Swamy and Sri T.K. Mukunda Tatacharyulu, descendants of Tirumala Nambi, along with other members of the Tirumala Nambi lineage, participated in the celebrations.
Meanwhile, tomorrow morning, the first bell Naivedyam of Venkateswara will be offered to Tirumala Nambi. Subsequently, 16 eminent scholars will deliver discourses on the life history of Tirumala Nambi.
