Minister to cover all 173 villages of his Husnabad assembly segment and resolve the pending issues at their doorstep
Announcing RO water plants, CC roads, community halls, GP buildings and other developmental works
HANAMKONDA, AUGUST 20, 2026: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has launched ambitious ‘Palle Palleku Ponnam Anna – Palle Pallelo Praja Palana’, a mass contact and village outreach programme to resolve the public issues at the doorstep of the people in their own villages in his Husnabad assembly constituency.
The programme was launched on Wednesday in Saidapur mandal by visiting several villages and interacting with the villagers, and resolving the issues on the spot by talking to the officials concerned. He is also participating in several developmental works in the villages.
With an objective to have a face-to-face interaction with rural citizens, the Minister was inspecting the implementation of several welfare schemes and explaining how the government had benefitted the villagers through various schemes including Rythu Bharosa, ration cards, pensions etc. Mr Prabhakar has set a target of covering all the 173 villages of his constituency and all the issues at the doorstep of the villages.

Accordingly, the Minister on Thursday visited Elkathurthy and Bheemadevarapalli mandals and toured Kesavapur, Ramakistapur, Thimmapur, Gunturpalli, Arepalli and Bavupeta villages. He launched the programme by offering special prayers at Sri Veerabhadra swamy temple in Kothakonda. Later, he participated in the birthday celebrations of former Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Mulkanoor village in Bheemadevarapalli mandal and Kesavapur in Elkathurthy mandal by paying floral tributes to his portrait and cutting the cakes separately.
On his arrival at Ramakrishtapur village, he was accorded a warm welcome by the villagers. The Praja Palana programme at the Grama panchayat office wherein the Minister received petitions from the villages and instantly informed the officials concerned to redress the grievances immediately.
Listing out various welfare schemes being implemented in the village, the Minister said that 50 persons in the village have received Rs 14.87 lakhs as pensions. In the first phase, two houses were constructed in Indiramma housing scheme, and houses would be sanctioned to all eligible in the second phase.

He said that 52 families were availing the benefit of free power up to 200 units worth Rs 40.39 lakhs. A total of 65 families have benefitted with Rs 500 subsidy on LPG cylinder worth Rs 6.50 lakhs. He said that they had distributed Rs 55.89 lakhs as Rythu Bharosa to 610 farmers and Rythu Bheema to two farmers worth Rs 10 lakhs.
Stating that the government had waived crop loans worth Rs 4.08 lakh in the village, he said that they had provided a bonus of Rs 25.50 lakh for producing fine rice paddy. He said that they had sanctioned eight new ration cards in the village.
Assuring to transform Ramakrishtapur village into a model one in his assembly segment, the Minister sanctioned the construction of new grama panchayat building and development of Hanuman and Pochamma temples. He promised internal CC roads and road connection between the village to Thimmapur village, RO water plant, community halls and other developmental works in the village. He also assured to set up ration shop in the village. He informed the villagers to apply for new pensions before August 31
Plastic-free Assembly constituency
In order to ensure a plastic-free assembly constituency, the Minister said that they were opening steel banks. In 173 villages, 289 SHGs were given steel bank kits of 300, 400 and 500 with 13 varieties of steel utensils for use in various functions.
Stating that they were providing solar power to 37 houses in the village under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, he said that they would ensure more beneficiaries utilise the solar power to reduce the power bills and encourage green energy. He also appealed to the farmers to take up alternate crops such as oil-palm cultivation.
He also advised the villagers to tap rainwater to recharge the groundwater table by constructing rainwater harvesting structures under ‘Jala Siri’ programme. Village sarpanch Bontha Ramesh, district officials, mandal officials, SHG women, and villagers attended the programme.
