University marching towards development, all efforts become fruitful – VC Prof. U. Umesh Kumar
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 19, 2026: The special initiative and persistent efforts of Satavahana University VC Prof. U. Umesh Kumar have paved the way to launch six new regular postgraduate (PG) courses at the university starting from the 2026–27 academic year. Commissioner of Collegiate Education, A Devasena, sanctioned these regular courses after the proposals submitted by the University and special interest was initiated by the VC, keeping in mind students’ future, employment opportunities, and regional educational needs.
Details of new regular courses in SU main Campus:
- MBA (Retail Management) – Seats: 60
(University College of Commerce & Business Management)
- M.Com (Finance Technology) – Seats: 40 (University College of Commerce & Business Management)
- M.Sc. (Forensic Science) – Seats: 30 (University College of Science)
- Food Science & Nutrition – Seats: 30 (University College of Science)
- MSW (Master of Social Work) – Seats: 40 (University College of Arts & Social Sciences)
At PG college, Godavarikhani:
- MBA (Business Analytics) – Seats: 60
(University PG College, Godavarikhani).
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. U.Umesh Kumar stated that offering new job oriented courses like “Business Analytics, Financial Technology, Forensic Science, and Food Science ‘ in the regular mode would greatly benefit rural and local students.
He also noted that the university is moving with advanced quality education in Telangana, introduction of new courses are milestone in the history of Satavahana university and necessary infrastructure facilities also developed along with the courses.
