NALGONDA, AUGUST 19, 2026: A one-day State-level Workshop on the implementation of Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) was organized by the Examination Branch of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Nalgonda, in association with the National Academic Depository (NAD), New Delhi, in the Seminar Hall on the varsity campus on Wednesday.
Inaugurating the Workshop, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Khaja Althaf Hussain said that the workshop would provide an important platform for universities and autonomous colleges to understand the latest procedures for digitisation, secure storage, and seamless access to students’ academic records, thereby facilitating the effective implementation of the National Education Policy initiatives. Speaking on the occasion, Controller of Examinations of MGU Dr. G. Upender Reddy said that the workshop would focus on the implementation and effective utilisation of ABC and APAAR, with special emphasis on the creation of APAAR IDs for students and the uploading and availability of academic certificates through DigiLocker. The NAD Zonal and State Coordinators explained the procedures and provided practical guidance to the participants on the digital processes involved in academic record management.
The programme concluded with an emphasis on strengthening digital academic record management and ensuring the successful implementation of ABC, APAAR, NAD and DigiLocker services across higher education institutions in the State. Registrar Prof. K. Anji Reddy, Controller of Examinations, NAD Zonal Coordinator Ravi Pondy, and NAD State Coordinator Rohit were also present. Representatives from various universities and autonomous colleges across the State, along with the staff of the MGU Examination branch Dr. G. Laxmi Prabha, Dr. A. Pravalika, Dr. S. Kalyani, participated in the workshop.
