KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 18, 2026: A Two-Day Workshop on “Personal Finance and Wealth Creation,” organised by the Department of Commerce, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Karimnagar, in collaboration with the Department of Business Management, Satavahana University, Karimnagar, concluded on Tuesday.
The closing ceremony was graced by D. Harikanth, Head and Chairman, Board of Studies, Department of Commerce, and Officer on Special Duty to the Vice-Chancellor, Satavahana University, as chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Harikanth emphasised the importance of financial literacy among students and encouraged them to develop financial awareness and make informed decisions.
The Valedictory Session was presided over by Principal T. Malathi, who appreciated the active participation of the students and encouraged them to apply the financial knowledge gained through the workshop in their personal lives. T. Peddanna, Principal, Government Degree College, Morthad, Nizamabad, who served as the Resource Person for the Banking and Financial Services session, also continued with the valedictory proceedings.
Three students shared their reflections on the practical knowledge and financial awareness gained through the workshop, followed by concluding remarks and felicitation of the dignitaries and resource persons associated with the programme.
Earlier in the day, the second day of the workshop featured three technical sessions on Entrepreneurship Opportunities, Banking and Financial Services, and Personal Money Management, providing students with practical insights into financial planning and informed decision-making.
The event was attended by Vice-Principal S. Padmaja, Convener G. Samatha, Head of the Department of Commerce N. Eshwaramma, faculty members, Co-Conveners G. Saritha, S. Swapna and B. Deepti, and students. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended to the Chief Guest, Principal, resource persons, dignitaries, faculty members, Co-Conveners, student volunteers and students for their contribution to the successful conduct of the workshop.
