KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 18, 2026: A cybercrime and online fraud awareness programme was conducted for students at the Government Women’s Degree College (Autonomous), Karimnagar. On the occasion, the students performed skits to create awareness about cyber fraud.
Officials advised students not to trust suspicious messages or links received in the name of KYC updates, electricity bill payments, or other such pretexts. They cautioned students against sharing OTPs, bank account details, or personal information with others. They also advised victims of cyber fraud to immediately call 1930 and lodge a complaint.
In the programme conducted by the State-level Cyber Security Division at the ICCC Centre, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, students received certificates of appreciation for their participation in the awareness programme. The college Principal, Professor D. Varalakshmi, congratulated them. Faculty members and students attended the programme.
