KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 17, 2026: Karimnagar district Telangana Cultural troupe member and Swarna Nandi Award winner Kamsani Udaya Urmila Kumar has been conferred with the Vande Bharath National Integration Award-2026 on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad.
Organised by Kala Ratna Movies, Ananda Lahari Sanskrutha Samstha, Vamshi Arts Theatres, in association with the Telangana Language and Culture Department, Hyderabad. Eminent film director Relangi Narasimha Rao, eminent film actor Polapragada Bhaskar Rao (Jenny), Vamshi International founder Vamshi Rama Raju, Kendra Sahitya Akademi awardee Chokkapu Venkataramana, Raj Entertainers CEO Munukoti David Raj and others were also present.
Udaya Urmila has won accolades for singing and acting. She played a crucial role in a documentary on C-sections in the district. She is also an active member in the promotion of government flagship programmes through her as a member of the Telangana cultural troupe.
