KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 03, 2026: The Department of Commerce, TGSWRDC for Women, Karimnagar, celebrated Commerce Day by organising a debate, quiz competition, and interactive student sessions to highlight the importance of commerce education and the diverse career opportunities it offers on Monday (the first Monday of August every year is celebrated as International Commerce Day).
Students enthusiastically participated in a debate on “Mobile Phone Usage in Commerce Education” and a Commerce Quiz. They also shared their experiences of choosing Commerce as a field of study and discussed career opportunities in accounting, banking, finance, entrepreneurship, and professional courses.
The programme was organised by Smt. N. Eshwaramma, Head of the Department of Commerce, along with Dr. G. Samatha, IQAC Coordinator, and faculty members G. Saritha, S. Swapna, and B. Deepti. The session was graced by Vice Principal Smt. S. Padmaja and Academic Coordinator G. Vasumathi, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and encouraged them to make the best use of the opportunities available in the field of commerce.
Principal T. Malathi appreciated the efforts of the Department of Commerce in organising the programme and congratulated the students for their enthusiastic participation. The programme concluded with the appreciation of all the participants, followed by a vote of thanks.
