WARANGAL, JULY 31, 2026: Retired Deputy Registrar of Kakatiya University Sudhakar Mamidala said that the Academic Senate and the Executive Council (Governing Body) play a crucial role as the highest decision-making bodies in university policy decisions.
Delivering a lecture on Friday evening on ‘Academic Senate – Executive Council: Functions, Powers and Responsibilities’ at a special training programme being conducted for employees appearing for promotion exams of Senior Assistant and Superintendent at Kakatiya University, Sudhakar Mamidala explained the composition of the Executive Council, the functions, powers and responsibilities of the Academic Senate and Standing Committee, the policy decision-making process, the procedure for conducting meetings, and their importance in the administrative system. He said that having representation in the Executive Council from eminent persons in the education sector as well as from various professional and social fields will help the university administration function more effectively. He answered several questions raised by employees during the training. He suggested that understanding these topics will be very useful not only for exams but also in performing job duties.
