HYDERABAD, JULY 31, 2026: Peruka Raju, founder of ‘My Gift’, multilingual writer, Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, warmly felicitated Pattipaka Mohan, South Regional Officer of the National Book Trust (NBT), on the occasion of meeting him for the first time after he received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award.
As a mark of respect, Peruka Raju presented Mohan with a shawl, bouquet, and memento. He also gifted him copies of his recently published literary works, “Avva” (Short Stories) and “Saagu” (an anthology of translated short stories from Indian languages).
Expressing his gratitude, Pattipaka Mohan remarked, “A felicitation among ourselves?”, and conveyed his heartfelt thanks to Peruka Raju for the thoughtful gesture.
Lyricist Nandu and several literary personalities were present on the occasion. Alongside his literary pursuits, Peruka Raju has been rendering notable social service through the My Gift voluntary organisation. Guided by the motto, “Encouragement is My Gift,” he continues to inspire society through his contributions to literature and community service.
