Final phase of EAPCET counselling from July 31
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 28, 2026: The scholarship announced by the Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS) (autonomous) in Karimnagar town for the B Tech first-year students has come as a boon to the students to pursue their dream engineering course in the reputed engineering college of the integrated Karimnagar district.
The JITS management has been providing Rs 18,000 per annum as scholarship to the students enrolled in various B Tech courses for the academic year 2026-27 at the college under the aegis of Shalini Educational Trust. Every student admitted to the JITS College would receive a scholarship of ₹18,000 per year, amounting to a total of ₹72,000 over four years till completion of the course. Students belonging to any caste and religion are eligible for the scholarship. The JITS college management has announced that any student who has qualified in EAPCET is eligible to secure a scholarship from their Educational Trust.
The scholarships were being provided to students from Shalini Educational Trust to ensure that students do not discontinue their higher education due to financial difficulties and can focus wholeheartedly on their studies. He advised the students not to waste their valuable time but to make the best use of their four years of education and lay a strong foundation for the next forty years of their lives.
However, some of the engineering colleges in the Thimmapur mandal had collected the educational certificates from the students who secured lower ranks in EAPCET-2026 and were not returning them to the students when they preferred to join other colleges during the third and final phase of counselling, which is scheduled to be conducted from July 31.
Parents of some of the students said that the Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education and JNTU Vice Chancellor should conduct a surprise inspection of some engineering colleges in Karimnagar district and ensure that the students get back their certificates and join their favourite engineering college during the final phase of counselling. The parents were reminded that it is mandatory for the engineering colleges to return the certificates to the students whenever they ask before the final round of counselling to secure admission into their choicest engineering colleges.
Sri Chaitanya engineering college and Vaageshwari engineering college, which have deployed PROs had collected the certificates from the students luring them with several sops and not allowing them to join their choicest engineering college.
