Recognition for his dedicated services against drug addiction through Counselling Psychology
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 28, 2026: D.G. Nageswar Galipelly, a Transformative psychologist from Karimnagar and Project Coordinator of the IRCA-PRAKRITI (Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts) Project, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Mano Margadarshak Best Psychologist’ State Award for his outstanding contribution through spiritually driven counselling psychology and his relentless efforts in combating alcohol, narcotics and drug addiction among the clients in IRCA.
Through his uniquely designed Scientific Programme, titled ‘SPARC’- Spiritual Psychological Applications in Rehabilitation Counselling, DG Galipelly has been bringing hope and transformation by building resilience in the lives of many young individuals and families devastated by alcohol and drug addiction. His innovative intervention has helped to restore confidence, rebuild relationships, and inspire complete personal transformation among those struggling with substance dependence.
The award was presented on Monday in Hyderabad on the occasion of National Psychologists’ Day, during a ceremony organised by the Advanced Psychological Services Association of India (APA INDIA) in association with Lions International All Is Well Foundation.
The honour has brought pride to Mental Health Wellbeing in Karimnagar district, as DG Galipelly is among the distinguished psychologists from the region to receive this prestigious recognition.
Prominent personalities, including Psychiatrist Purushotham, Surgeon Dr Elagandula Srinivas, Ally. Srinivas Galipelly, Kola Anna Reddy, Eeda Kumaraswamy, and Alliance Governor Konjarla Mahesh congratulated DG Nageswar Galipelly on receiving this distinguished award and appreciated his invaluable services to society.
