KARIMNAGAR, JULY 27, 2026: Intending to provide financial support for higher education and lay a strong foundation for the future of students, Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous) Engineering College in Karimnagar has taken another significant step. The management has fulfilled its promise of providing a scholarship of ₹18,000 every year to students admitted to the first year of B.Tech. As part of this initiative, scholarship cheques worth ₹18,000 each were distributed to the first-year students on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jyothishmathi Educational Institutions Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao stated that the scholarship programme was launched under the aegis of Shalini Educational Trust to ensure that students do not discontinue their higher education due to financial difficulties and can focus wholeheartedly on their studies. He advised the students not to waste their valuable time but to make the best use of their four years of education and lay a strong foundation for the next forty years of their lives.
As part of the programme, the following students received scholarship cheques worth ₹18,000 each. Menda Sahasra, Ellanki Shambhavi, Gajula Sharanya, Sri Gade Varshashree, Mohammed Rayan, Badire Varsha, Panthangi Ashrith, Annam Manushree, Sangani Spandana, Konda Shravani, Utla Sharanya, Parne Sushanth Reddy, Amundla Vijayashree, Guduri Vaishnavi, Booram Keerthana, Bayyapu Saihamsith Reddy, Aireddu Varsha, Mohammed Yasmin Banu, Doosa Sai Charan, Rasoori Sai Rishi, Kumbharkar Jahnavi, Sirikonda Santosh Rao, Puli Vaishnavi, Amidala Anusha, Vadnala Harshavardhan Vardhan, Sri Bhashyam Mauryan, Gasikanti Pratyusha, Dama Keerthana, Banda Harini, Akula Manasa, Puppala Pavithra, Maturi Malavika, and Ammu Karthik.
Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao stated that every student admitted to the college would receive a scholarship of ₹18,000 per year, amounting to a total of ₹72,000 over four years. He said that this financial assistance would enable students to pursue their higher education without financial stress and also help them meet other educational requirements and expenses. Bandi Vikas, a student from Avunoor village in Rajanna Sircilla district, belongs to a family facing severe financial difficulties. The family was pushed into deep distress after his mother recently died by suicide due to financial problems, at a time when the family was struggling to arrange money to pay his B.Tech fee.
Despite these difficult circumstances, Vikas remained determined to pursue higher education. After learning about his family’s situation, Jyothishmathi Educational Institutions Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao came forward with a humanitarian gesture. After reviewing the student’s circumstances, the Chairman announced that Bandi Vikas would be provided full free admission to the B.Tech programme at Jyothishmathi Engineering College.
The Chairman stated that the decision was taken with the intention of ensuring that financial difficulties should not become an obstacle to any student’s future. He said, “It is our responsibility to nurture young people who will contribute meaningfully to society.”
Expressing his happiness over the decision, Bandi Vikas stated that he would remain lifelong grateful to Jyothishmathi Engineering College Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao and Secretary Sri Juvvadi Sumith Sai for their generous support and humanitarian gesture.
The decision taken by Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao has been widely appreciated by the village Sarpanch, residents, students, and parents. Several people expressed the view that Jyothishmathi Engineering College is continuing its exemplary service to society by extending educational support to students from economically disadvantaged families.
