TIRUPATI, JULY 24, 2026: The three-day annual Jyeshtabhishekam of Sri Govindaraja Swamy commenced with religious fervour at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Friday. The festival is traditionally observed every year during the Ashada month.
Following Suprabhata Seva, the daily rituals were performed. Later, Shata Kalasa Snapanam and Mahashanti Homam were conducted as per Agama traditions.
The Utsava deities of Sri Govindaraja Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, were ceremonially offered Snapana Tirumanjanam in the Kalyana Mandapam with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood, turmeric, and coconut water. Special prayers were later offered to the sacred armour of the deity as part of Kavachadhivasam.

In the evening at 5.30 p.m., the deities will bless devotees by taking out a procession on Tiruchi along the four Mada Streets around the temple.
HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Temple AEO Sri Narayana Chowdary, Temple Inspector Sri Dhananjayulu, priests, officials and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
