RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JULY 23, 2026: The National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with the medical department of PHC Hanmajipet conducted a medical camp for the benefit of students of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, located at Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada, on Thursday.
The medical camp was conducted by Dr. N. Swapna Latha and Dr. Mahathi from the Hanmajipet Primary Health Centre. They carried out comprehensive health check-ups for the students, including blood pressure, body weight, and other routine health examinations. Students with identified health concerns were provided with appropriate medical advice and free medicines.
During the programme, the doctors also created awareness on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, consuming a balanced and nutritious diet, preventing anaemia through healthy eating habits, protecting oneself from seasonal diseases, drinking adequate water, and engaging in regular physical exercise. They encouraged the students to adopt a healthy lifestyle to ensure their overall physical and mental well-being.
On this occasion, the Principal of the college, P. S. R. Sharma, stated that good health is the foundation of academic success. He emphasized that the college gives equal importance to students’ health along with quality education and noted that such medical camps play a vital role in creating health awareness among students.
The programme was attended by Vice Principal K. Lavanya, NSS team members G. Swapna, S. Sandhya Rani, and R. Deepthi, along with faculty members and students. The medical camp was conducted successfully with active participation from all concerned.
