KARIMNAGAR, JULY 17, 2026: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, celebrated its Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 with great enthusiasm and solemnity, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council on Friday. The ceremony was graced by Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of Director (Academics) Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, Principal Dr. R. Retheesh, Vice Principal Mr. M. Prashanth, parents, teachers, and students.
The programme commenced with the warm welcome of the dignitaries, followed by the presentation of saplings as a symbol of gratitude, growth, and environmental responsibility. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a melodious prayer song invoked the blessings of the Almighty, creating an atmosphere of reverence and inspiration.
Delivering the welcome address, Principal Dr. R. Retheesh emphasised that leadership is not about authority but about responsibility, service, and setting the right example. He encouraged the newly elected council members to lead with honesty, humility, and dedication while upholding the rich values and traditions of the institution.
The highlight of the ceremony was the pinning of badges to the Student Council members by the dignitaries, followed by the administration of the oath, where the young leaders pledged to discharge their duties with sincerity, fairness, and commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Director (Academics) Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari congratulated the student leaders and remarked that true leadership is measured by one’s ability to inspire, serve, and bring positive change. She urged the council members to work as a united team and become role models for their peers.
In his inspiring address, Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani congratulated the newly elected leaders and reminded them that leadership begins with self-discipline, integrity, and compassion. He encouraged them to lead by example, embrace every challenge with confidence, and use their positions to serve the school community with sincerity. He also motivated all students to cultivate leadership qualities, dream big, and strive for excellence in every sphere of life.
The Head Boy and Head Girl expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and assured everyone that the Student Council would work with commitment, teamwork, and a spirit of service.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Vice Principal Mr. M. Prashanth, who expressed gratitude to the Chairman, Director (Academics), Principal, parents, teachers, and students for making the event a grand success. The programme ended with the National Anthem, leaving the newly elected leaders inspired to lead with confidence, responsibility, and the true spirit of Vivekananda Residential School.
