HANAMKONDA, JULY 14, 2026: “Everyone should be ready for the defence of the country. If one wants to live a high life, one should think positively. If one wants to have young blood who have faith in the country, NCC’s participation in the security of the country is now necessary,” said Camp Commandant Col SS Ramadurai.
Addressing the inauguration of a “Combined Annual Training Camp” organised by the 10th Telangana NCC Battalion on the Kakatiya University (KU) campus on Monday, Col Ramadurai said that for the unity of the country, the sense of unity should be strengthened in colleges and schools with new ideas. Stating that it is easy to get jobs in the Indian Army, Central Paramilitary and Police departments by knowing about the pros and cons of the uniform organisation, he said that through a disciplined NCC, the youth should dream of a bright future and added that NCC means positivity.
The ten-day camp includes weapons training, personality development, firefighting, awareness on national disaster management, cybercrime, women empowerment, army history, classes by special experts on weapons used by the army, drills, and the selection of Warangal group cadets to participate in the 2027 Republic Day will also be held at Kakatiya University till 22 July 2026, Col Ramadurai added.
A ten-day camp is being held for 550 cadets of the combined Warangal and Khammam districts. Deputy Camp Commandant, Lieutenant Col Ravi Sunari, made the cadres aware of personality development. An awareness program was also held under the auspices of the National Disaster Management Department, in which various battalion officers and Captain Dr. P. Satish, Captain Dr. M. Sadanandam, Jai Ram Singh, Subedari Major, Sutari, Rajender, Lieutenant Ganesh, Lieutenant Jeevan, First Officer Ravinder, Bhavani and JCOs, ANOs, Battalion A Valdar Mayor, NCOs, Camp Superintendent Aruna, Dattu, Kumaraswamy NCC PI staff along with 550 were present.
