KARIMNAGAR, JULY 14, 2026: It has been a tradition in Hindu society to consider the cow as the most sacred animal and Kamadhenu, and everyone should work together to protect the cow, which has a close relationship with humanity, said Lion K Rajender Reddy, secretary of the Kamadhenu Go Vigyan Kendra set up on the premises of Madava Seva Samiti near Bommakal Bypass in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.
While participating as the chief guest in the “Gomata Appreciation Day” programme organised by the Satavahana Lions Club at the Kamadhenu Go Vigyan Kendra, he said that there are about 100 cows in the Kamadhenu Go Vigyan Kendra set up in the Bommakal area, and the management committee is looking after their care, and Hindu relatives can visit the cowshed. He said that many benefits are derived from the kindness of the cow, such as milk, milk products, manure, medicines and other cow-based products. He demanded a complete ban on cow slaughter.
