Eminent physician Dr D Raghu Raman inaugurates the centre
The newly set-up facility aims to strengthen and expand access to advanced rehabilitation services in Karimnagar
HYDERABAD, JULY 12, 2026: The state-of-the-art Physiotherapy and Advanced Rehabilitation Centre was formally inaugurated at Pavan Padma Hospital, Mukarampura, in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
Eminent physician Dr D Raghu Raman has formally inaugurated the centre along with Dr Pavan, Dr Padma, Dr N Nikhil and Dr N Shilpa. Later, Dr Raghu Raman inspected the centre, which is fully equipped with the latest equipment for the treatment of various ailments. Incidentally, this is the first rehabilitation centre in the district to offer inpatient treatment along with outpatient treatment. The newly set-up facility aims to strengthen and expand access to advanced rehabilitation services, particularly for the patients, thereby enhancing the healthcare facilities in the town.
The treatments offered include: Robotic Spinal decompression for cervical and lumbar disc problems, Laser therapy for spondylitis, neck pain, low back pain, osteo arthritis, knee joint pain, sciatica, wrist pain, ankle pain, muscle spasms, diabetic ulcers etc.
The centre also offers shockwave therapy for frozen or perianrthritis shoulder, plantar fasciitis (heel pain), ligament sprains, muscle sprains, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, rheumatoid arthritis, and Achilles tendinitis. The suspension therapy, parallel bar therapy, active passive trainer, and tilt table treatment for stroke (paralysis) post craniotomy (head injuries), spinal cord injuries.
The wellness station for balance training, strength training, proprioceptive training, and core muscle strengthening. The quadriceps chair and the isometric ball chair for quadriceps and hamstring muscles strengthening. The Robotic hand for paralysis (stroke), wrist drop and finger rehabilitation.
The CPM (continuous passive motion) improves the knee joint range of motion and helps in relieving knee joint stiffness after immobilisation. Besides, the centre also provides Ultrasound therapy and electrical stimulation for various ailments. The centre had come as a boon for the treatment of various sports injuries. The doctors said that the physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre would provide cost-effective treatment at reasonable rates and early treatment with the latest equipment.
Dr Nikhil said that the Advanced Rehabilitation Centre would greatly enhance rehabilitation services in the region by providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care to patients suffering from various ailments. Later, Dr Pavan, Dr Padma, Dr Nikhil and Dr Shilpa and others felicitated Dr Raghu Raman by presenting him with shawls.
