Sri Sundararaja Swamy Avatara Mahotsavams begin on a grand scale at Tiruchanoor

TIRUPATI, JULY 05, 2026: The annual Sri Sundararaja Swamy Avatara Mahotsavams commenced with religious fervour at Tiruchanoor on Sunday under the auspices of TTD.

The festivities began with a grand Abhishekam to the deity using milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric and sandalwood, followed by the Unjal Seva. Later in the evening, the Lord blessed devotees during the Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva along the four Mada Streets.

As part of the celebrations, Hanumantha Vahana Seva will be held on Monday night.

The festival commemorates the historic arrival of the Utsava idols of Sri Sundararaja Swamy from Madurai to Tiruchanoor and is observed annually with great devotion by TTD.

Temple Deputy EO Harindranath, AEO Devarajulu, Temple Inspector Chalapathi, Archaka Babuswamy, other officials and a large number of devotees participated.
