TTD celebrated 129th birth anniversary of Alluri Sitarama Raju
TIRUPATI, JULY 04, 2026: TTD grandly celebrated the 129th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at Annamacharya Kalamandiram, Tirupati, on Saturday under the aegis of the Welfare Department.
Delivering the keynote address, social science teacher R. Mohan Rao Naidu described Alluri as a symbol of Andhra pride and said his sacrifice, courage, patriotism, and relentless fight for tribal rights continue to inspire generations of youth.
TTD Welfare Deputy EO Anandaraju called upon employees to imbibe Alluri’s spirit of selfless service, while Chief Audit Officer Venkateswarlu urged the youth to draw inspiration from the legendary freedom fighter’s bravery and dedication.
Floral tributes were paid to Alluri Sitarama Raju’s portrait, followed by special prayers, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and remembrance of his invaluable contribution to India’s freedom struggle. TTD officials, employees, students, and representatives of employees’ unions participated in large numbers.
