Additional Chief Electoral Officer inspects SIR programme in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, JULY 03, 2026: As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme in the state, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vasam Venkateswarlu Reddy visited the Khairatabad and Rajendranagar constituencies in Karimnagar on Friday to inspect the SIR process.
He visited Polling Station No. 211 in the Khairatabad Assembly constituency and Polling Station No. 184, located in the Film Nagar and MRC Colony areas of Banjara Hills. Similarly, he visited polling stations in the Kokapet and Manchirevula areas of the Rajendranagar constituency to review the progress of the SIR process.
During the visit, he inquired about the progress of the door-to-door voter enumeration. He instructed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to follow the proper procedure for verifying and resolving cases involving voters who have permanently relocated, deceased voters and duplicate entries. He directed BLOs to strictly conduct door-to-door enumeration and personally hand over the enumeration forms to the voters.
Furthermore, he ordered that the process of verifying and deleting details of permanently relocated, deceased, and duplicate voters be carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Election Commission of India (ECI) using the BLO App. He also emphasised the need to create awareness among voters that they can register online via https://voters.eci.gov.in. The Khairatabad Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), BLOs, and other officials participated in this visit.
