RAMAGUNDAM, JULY 02, 2026: As part of the observance of National Electrical Safety Week, the EMD Electrical Maintenance Department and Ramagundam and Telangana (EMD R&T) Department organised an Electrical Safety Awareness Programme for the ladies of the township at Deepthi Mahila Samithi (DMS), reinforcing the importance of electrical safety at the household level.
The programme was conducted by Shri Sunil Agrawal, AGM (EMD), and Shri P. Vishwanath, DGM (EMD). The session highlighted that simple safety precautions can go a long way in preventing electrical accidents and ensuring the well-being of families as well as the community. Participants were sensitised on safe handling of electrical appliances, essential electrical safety practices at home, and the importance of promptly reporting electrical hazards through interactive discussions.
An Electrical Safety Quiz was also organised as part of the programme, wherein the township ladies participated with great enthusiasm, reflecting their commitment towards fostering a culture of safety. The quiz served as an engaging platform to reinforce key electrical safety concepts and motivated participants to act as safety ambassadors within their families and neighbourhoods.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming EMD R&T’s commitment to promoting electrical safety awareness and creating a safer living environment for the township.
