NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana Celebrates National Doctors’ Day

RAMAGUNDAM, JULY 01, 2026: NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana celebrated the National Doctors’ Day with great enthusiasm at Dhanwantari Hospital,  in the township, under the theme, “Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers”, on Wednesday.

The programme was graced by Shri Mukul Rai, CGM (O&M), Telangana, as the Chief Guest; Shri Manish Agarwal, GM (O&M), Ramagundam, as the Guest of Honour; and Dr. Krupa B, Senior RMO, Government General Hospital (GGH), Ramagundam, as the Special Guest. The event was attended by senior officials, Heads of Departments, representatives of Deepthi Mahila Samiti (DMS), and representatives of recognized unions and associations.

The celebrations commenced with a tree plantation drive, followed by a welcome address by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). A floral tribute was paid to the legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birth anniversary is observed as National Doctors’ Day across the country.

A special tribute video was screened to acknowledge the invaluable contributions, dedication, and selfless service of doctors in safeguarding the health and well-being of society. Adding value to the occasion, a visiting psychiatrist delivered an insightful talk on stress management, emphasising the importance of mental well-being among healthcare professionals and the need for self-care while caring for others.

The programme concluded with engaging and fun-filled activities for the medical fraternity, creating an atmosphere of appreciation and camaraderie. The event served as a meaningful reminder of the vital role played by doctors and the importance of recognising their commitment, compassion, and service to humanity.
