TIRUMALA, JUNE 30, 2026:  The Pournami Garuda Seva was held with religious fervour at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple on Monday night.

Garuda Vahanam – A Sacred Symbol

Garuda Seva is one of the most important rituals observed in the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams. According to Hindu tradition, the Lord’s procession on Garuda signifies His divine grace towards devotees who surrender to Him with complete faith.

Garuda, the celestial vehicle of Lord Maha Vishnu, symbolises wisdom and detachment. Devotees believe that having the darshan of the Lord on Garuda Vahanam helps cleanse one’s sins and bestows spiritual wisdom and divine blessings.
