RAMAGUNDAM, JUNE 27, 2026: As part of its commitment towards community development and sustainable livelihood promotion, NTPC Ramagundam organised a Vegetable Seed Distribution Programme at Life Skill Academy, Block-2, in the township on Saturday.
The programme was graced by Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (R&T), who distributed vegetable seeds to the beneficiary farmers and encouraged them to adopt improved agricultural practices for enhancing productivity and income.
During the programme, vegetable seeds worth ₹10.30 lakh were distributed to around 200 farmers belonging to 20 villages and corporation divisions under the project-affected and peripheral areas.
Addressing the gathering, Samanta emphasised the importance of sustainable agriculture and reiterated NTPC’s commitment to supporting the farming community through various CSR initiatives. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to NTPC for the timely support, which will help them undertake vegetable cultivation and improve their livelihoods.
The initiative is expected to promote kitchen gardening and vegetable cultivation in the region, thereby contributing to nutritional security and additional income generation for rural households.
