JAGTIAL, JUNE 25, 2026: The Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial, has launched the registration and training process for the “AI and Digital Learning Anna–Akka Mentorship Programme” with the objective of promoting Artificial Intelligence and digital literacy among students.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the In-Charge Principal, G. Chandrayya. As part of the initiative, 202 degree students are being trained in emerging technologies such as Coding, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence by the college nodal faculty members N. Vasavi, K. Ramachandram, and S. Mallikarjun.
These trained students have been assigned as mentors to 59 government schools in and around Jagtial, where they will impart digital and AI-related skills to school children. The programme is being implemented with technical support from the Pi Jam Foundation. Besides enabling government school students to gain foundational AI knowledge free of cost, the initiative also provides participating degree students with two academic credits while helping them develop leadership and teaching skills. Teaching and non-teaching staff members including Srilatha, D. Sujatha, Neeraja, S. Satyam, Tirupathi, along with students, participated in the programme.
