
Appreciation for functioning of the integrated command and control centre
Union Minister plants a sapling under the ‘Ek ped Maa ke naam’
TIRUMALA, JUNE 05, 2026: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Sri Piyush Goyal stated that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technology in managing devotees’ services at Tirumala is highly commendable. On Friday, he had darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
After the darshan, Vedic scholars offered blessings at Ranganayakula Mandapam, and TTD EO Shri M. Ravichandra presented him with Srivari Theertha Prasadam and a portrait. Later, he visited the Integrated Common Command Centre in VQC. The Addl EO Sri Venkaiah Chowdary explained to the dignitary about the functionality of the ICCC.
Speaking to the media, he said that through the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) set up at Vaikuntham Queue Complex, details such as room occupancy, devotees’ movement, darshan queue lines, and laddu prasadam distribution are being continuously monitored, ensuring more transparent and efficient services for devotees.

He explained that the centre provides instant information on room availability, the number of devotees waiting in different compartments, hourly arrivals at Tirumala, and laddu prasadam distribution. He praised Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Shri Nara Lokesh for promoting technology and contributing to the state’s development. He expressed gratitude to overseas Indian devotees who supported this project and congratulated TTD officials for implementing the AI-based system within just 100 days.
Earlier, he participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” programme organised on the occasion of World Environment Day and planted a sapling in his mother’s name, saying it gave him immense joy. He expressed hope that this initiative would play a key role in raising awareness about environmental protection across the country.
He called upon every child to plant a sapling in their mother’s name and nurture it throughout their life. He noted that this program, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, would help increase greenery and contribute to environmental conservation.
He mentioned that it has become a tradition for him to visit Tirumala during the first week of June every year on his birthday to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. He prayed for the strength to serve the nation and work for the welfare of the people.
