
RAMAGUNDAM, MAY 09, 2026: Shashank Dahagama, a son of a farmer from the coal belt region, has secured Telangana’s 78th rank in the Indian Forest Services 2025.
In IFoS 2025, 148 aspirants were selected out of 372 who qualified for interview; from 2116 aspirants who cleared IFoS Mains; who in turn were selected from almost 9.4 lakhs aspirants who applied for UPSC Prelims.
Shashank got 78th Rank, first in Telangana. Other aspirants selected to the Indian Forest Services 2025 from Telangana are: Ganji Srikanth – Rank 115, Challa Yamini – Rank 119, and Banothu Bharath Kumar – Rank 12.
Recently, Shashank was also selected for the UPSC Employee Provident Fund Organisation’s Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner interview. The number of aspirants qualified for APFC Interview is 262 out of total number of EPFO APFC aspirants of 5 Lakhs.

Picked up a keen interest in public service while in undergrad. Led numerous student bodies at JNTU Hyderabad College of Engineering during undergraduate studies.
Scored 99 percentile in GRE & GMAT but chose to pursue UPSC Civil Services after an undergraduate degree instead of going to the US for higher technical and business studies, after seeking guidance from other Indian civil servants and civil services aspirants.
After undergrad, I worked in an AgTech Startup for a few years to build solutions to improve productivity and profitability for smallholding farmers in Telangana.
