KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 14, 2024: Father of Indian Constitution and Bharath Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar was remembered on his 134th birth anniversary celebrations by paying floral tributes to his statue in Karimnagar town and other parts of integrated Karimnagar district on Sunday.
Collector Pamela Satpathy garlanded the statue of Ambedkar at Court Cross roads in Karimnagar town and paid tributes. She also garlanded and paid floral tributes to his portrait. On this occasion, the Collector said that: “Ambedkar was a great personality and his presence is felt in every aspect life. It seems like Baba Sahib is still standing with us to guide us in almost all spheres of life”.
DRO Pawan Kumar, RDO K Maheshwar, DD (social welfare) Nathanial, SC corporation ED Nagarjuna, DRDO Sridhar, DWO Saraswathi, tahsildars M Ramesh, Naveen Kumar, Rajesh, TNGOs leaders D Srinivas Reddy, S Laxman Rao and others also paid tributes by garlanding the statue. People from all walks of life paid rich tributes to Dr Ambedkar and raised slogans of Bhimrao Ambedkar ki Jai and ‘Jai Bheem’.
Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar also garlanded the statue of Ambedkar and paid tributes along with Manakondur MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Congress leaders K Narender Reddy and others. Mr Prabhakar also participated in the celebrations in his Husnabad assembly segment.
Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu paid tributes to Ambedkar in his Manthani assembly segment. Peddapalli MLA Ch Vijaya Ramana Rao participated in the celebrations in Peddapalli town.
