SIDDIPET, APRIL 16, 2026: Kaveri University successfully inaugurated its two-day annual tech fest, “Kshitij,” on Thursday, drawing students, faculty, and industry enthusiasts to celebrate innovation, technology, and sustainable development.
The event kicked off with a keynote address by Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Praveen Rao, who emphasised the critical intersection of food security, sustainability, and cutting-edge technological advancements.
In his engaging speech, Dr Rao highlighted the pressing global challenges in food production amid climate change and population growth. He advocated for sustainable practices such as precision agriculture, waste reduction, and circular economy models to ensure food security for future generations. “Innovation is not just about technology; it’s about responsibly harnessing it to nourish our planet and its people,” Dr Rao stated.

A key highlight was Dr Rao’s practical guidance on leveraging AI tools to drive these innovations. He demonstrated real-world applications, including AI-powered predictive analytics for crop yields, machine learning models for soil health monitoring, and generative AI for optimising supply chains.

Dr. Rao encouraged students to integrate tools like ChatGPT, Google Bard, and specialised platforms such as TensorFlow into their projects, urging ethical use while warning against over-reliance without critical thinking. “AI is a powerful ally, but human ingenuity remains the true innovator,” he added.
The two-day “Kshitij” fest features Quiz on AI Tools, a poster presentation, Case Study, Prompt Engineering, Cyber Awareness, Design Thinking, Puzzle Challenge and Tech Debate, Treasure Hunt, and Innovation Pitch/ Web Design and more.
