KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 14, 2026: In an unethical medical practice by One Hospital, a private hospital in Karimnagar town, the hospital authorities had reportedly conducted medical treatment on a dead patient for the collection of fees, replicating the scene of a popular film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the ‘Tagore’ movie on Sunday.
The Karimnagar MIM leaders stated that Saheb Bhi (60), hailing from Shatrajpalli village of Vemumala mandal, was admitted into the hospital following a heart ailment last Friday (April 10). The doctors performed an angiogram and surgery for the treatment of the patient. The MIM stated and alleged that the patient had succumbed due to failure of treatment, and they collected a huge amount for treatment despite the death of the patient.
MIM Karimnagar district president Syed Ghulam Amhed Hussain has urged Collector Chitra Mishra to seize the One hospital for the negligent treatment of patients and fleecing family members in spite of the death of patients. Demanding a criminal case against One hospital MD Mahesh Reddy and others involved in the surgery of the patient.
Alleging that some private hospitals have been resorting to cheap tactics of making fast bucks by fleecing the patients by deploying brokers and agents, the MIM leaders have demanded stern action against the One hospital doctors and regulate the functioning of private hospitals in Karimnagar town. Following a complaint, a case has been registered at the Karimnagar two town police station in Karimnagar town.
