KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 13, 2026: Rich tributes were paid to Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr BR Ambedkar, on the eve of his 135th birth anniversary at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women in Nagunur of Karimnagar on Monday.
The programme was organised to honour the remarkable contributions of the architect of the Indian Constitution, who dedicated his life to fighting against social discrimination and inequality.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal T Malathi and Superintendent T Suresh Kumar, along with ACO G. Vasumathi. The programme began with a warm welcome to the Principal, faculty members, and distinguished guests. The gathering highlighted the importance of Dr Ambedkar’s ideals of equality, justice, and social reform.
During the programme, several dignitaries were invited onto the stage, including T. Malathi, G. Vasumathi, and advocate members such as Praveen Ranjith, Chitta Chandra Prakash Reddy, and Kiran Kumar. Other contributors included Anand Baskar, B. Kappa Reddy, and Harika, who played a key role in organising the event.
Principal T. Malathi, Superintendent T. Suresh Kumar, ACO G Vasumathi, and the chief guests paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Ambedkar, expressing deep respect for his legacy. Stating that Baba Saheb Ambedkar played a pivotal role in drafting the Indian Constitution, embedding principles of equality, liberty, and fraternity, the speakers said we must all work together to uphold these principles.
The speakers said Dr Ambedkar’s legacy continued to inspire policies and actions aimed at social justice. They encouraged the youth to draw motivation from Baba Saheb’s life to drive positive change.

The programme continued with speeches emphasising Dr Ambedkar’s role in shaping modern India and his relentless efforts to uplift marginalised communities. Speakers encouraged students to follow his ideals of education, equality, and social responsibility.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the celebration’s grand success.
