HYDERABAD, APRIL 02, 2026:The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) organised a campus-wide awareness walk as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign). This initiative underscores the university’s commitment to building a healthy, safe, and substance-free environment for its students and staff.
The walk was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Nagaraju, who highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in addressing the challenge of drug abuse. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and a large number of students actively joined the march, pledging their support for a healthier campus life. Their participation reflected unity, determination, and a shared resolve to stand against the menace of substance abuse.
By engaging in this campaign, EFLU contributes to the nationwide movement led by educational institutions across India to promote awareness and inspire young people to embrace a drug-free lifestyle. The university’s efforts reaffirm its role not only as a centre of academic excellence but also as a centre of social well-being and public health.
