KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 01, 2026: A total of 120 students (karatekas) participated in the belt grading test held in different age groups at Siddartha High School in Bhagathnagar of Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
Participants exhibited their skills in different forms of karate, namely Dachi, Shuki, Firi, Kata and Kumite during the test and were awarded belts according to the results. About 12 students received Brown belts, and T Shiva Priya and S Rishik secured Black belt first Dan.
Additional DCP Venkata Ramana participated as the chief guest and distributed the belts and certificates. On this occasion, he encouraged the players to continue their hard work to achieve the next step. School chairman Dasari Sripal Reddy said that learning Karate from a young age will increase self-confidence and self-esteem, especially for girls and help them overcome the problems they face in life.
The bravery displayed by the students on the occasion was very impressive. The speakers opined that in future, the students should participate in more national and international competitions, and win many more medals, making our state and country proud. Director Dasari Swapna Sripal, Okinawa martial arts academy chief instructor Vasanth Kumar, Karate master Pulluri Srinivas and others were also present.
